DWF Ventures recently shared insights on X regarding the significant growth of the TON ecosystem over the past year, highlighting several key areas of development. Firstly, the user growth has been exceptional, with the daily active users (DAU) of TON increasing more than tenfold since the start of the year. Additionally, the average number of transactions per user has steadily risen, with recent months even surpassing Ethereum's transaction volume on certain days. Secondly, there has been explosive growth in mini-programs like Notcoin and Catizen.
Data from The Open League 5 shows that these mini-programs have been highly effective in attracting Web2 users to the TON ecosystem. In the DeFi sector, DeDust.io and STON.fi have become leading decentralized exchanges (DEX) within the TON ecosystem.
While STON.fi has the highest number of traders, DeDust.io outpaced it in trading volume in July. The introduction of native USDT on the TON blockchain on April 19 has significantly increased liquidity between TON and centralized exchanges (CEX). In just three months, the USDT supply on TON grew to 730 million tokens, nearing Solana's supply. The total transfer volume over the past month reached approximately $1 billion. In April, the TON token reached a historic peak in daily trading volume, surpassing $1 billion. Although trading volume has recently declined, the number of token holders has steadily increased, indicating a growing user base within the ecosystem.
Lastly, the developer ecosystem has experienced substantial growth, with 90% of developers working exclusively on TON due to the unique features of the FunC programming language. In 2023, TON introduced a new language called TACT, similar to Rust, which likely contributed to the growth. The number of active developers surpassed 260 in July, marking a new annual high.
